Aroma

It is our ANZAC Remembrance Day today, here in Australia and due to our lockdown for Carona 19, everyone was asked to stand at the end of their driveways at sunrise with candles to remember our fallen heroes today!

When remembering those we love, someone the other day suggested an ‘aroma’ was very significant for them – fragrances and smells are a very powerful trigger to 2 brain areas that are strongly implicated in emotion and memory.

The word AROMA in dictionary is – ‘A subtle, pervasive (spreading widely throughout an area or a group of people) quality or atmosphere’

* When you sell a house, they suggest you bake bread or a cake so the smell would be there for those walking thru your home to feel good about it

* My nephew came to stay over night with his wife & kids and the next morning woke up telling me how much he enjoyed his night’s sleep because ‘it smelled like Grans home’ (my mother’s) so he felt reassured!

Oh, for us to be that in this season, to others – that we would be an ‘aroma’ to represent Jesus Christ well ….

‘…a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.’ Philippians 4:18

For us to give off an ‘aroma’ we need to first be immersed in His presence – so we are now in the perfect season to spend all our quality time with our Heavenly Father to enjoy His presence with us and soak up all we can of Him upon us now 12

‘…how bold and free we then become in his presence,’ – 1 John 5:13-15

‘…standing tall in his bright presence,’ – Jude 1:24-25

Praying that you are all enjoying your ‘time out’ or ‘in’ for this season.
