In the Bible is says…
‘It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him’ – Genesis 2:18 KJV
And also …
“9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labour.
10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
12 And if one prevails against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” – Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 KJV
And again …
“20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” – Matthew 18:20 KJV
From the above scriptures it would suggest that God is for us doing things with someone else and that they are a great support for us.
I recently had a day with my grandchildren and took them to a nearby large lake and all four of us used small two wheeled scooters to traverse this lake. (took us over an hour stopping along the way for photos) Halfway round my grandsons were asking how I was coping on the scooter (I was struggling and slowing them down – as I am typing this I am feeling the effects of the choice I made) and asked what would happen if I fell off and how would I drive the car? I then explained that they would all have to work together to help me… looking back not sure what they could have done in that circumstance!

We are better when doing things with others and when on our own we are like a one-sided clap…. No other hand on the other side to come together and release the noise needed for ‘Joy & Celebration’.
I love spending time with my sister (I have two) and I know that if I ask for their help they will always say yes if they are able. 😊
The scripture in Matthew 18:20 says ‘where 2 or 3 are gathered… there am I in the midst of them’ – which suggests God is with ‘US’ as we commit what we are doing for him or praying together for others etc. What a powerful commitment God is imparting for our good.
I love that wherever I am, at home, in the car, out shopping I can speak to my Heavenly Father and say what is on my heart, especially if I am troubled. I know that He hears me and willingly listens to my rants, petitions and exaltation of His goodness too. The two of us together, in conversation, to work on how best to move forward for the journey He has set before me 😊
Even in the very meagre everyday things we do… I was grocery shopping once and when I took something off the shelf a lady behind me asked ‘what do you use that for?’. I then proceeded to have a very interesting conversation on why I chose that product and how I use it – she was so captivated by this simplistic process she went to the front desk for a pen and paper so she too could do the same at home….
If we are open enough to allow the Lord to go before us in all we, do he will orchestrate our conversations with others and bring those to us that are in need for us to be His hands, feet and voice to bring the transformation needed.
I love that my Heavenly Father is interested so much in what I get up to – even if I think its not very significant.

Where, our Heavenly Father will sit and watch the process we are going through until He can see His reflection in the process to know when it is done! Amen!
‘Like a refiner of silver, he will sit and closely watch as the dross is burned away’ – Malachi 3:3a TLB
Dear Jesus,
Help me to spread Your fragrance wherever I go. Flood my soul with Your Spirit and life. Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly, that my life may only be a radiance of Yours.
Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel Your presence in my soul.
Let them look up, and see no longer me, but only Jesus! Stay with me and then I will begin to shine as You shine, so to shine as to be a light to others.
The light, O Jesus, will be all from You; none of it will be mine. It will be You, shining on others through me. Let me thus praise You in the way which You love best, by shining on those around me.
Let me preach You without preaching, not by words but by my example, by the catching force, the sympathetic influence of what I do, the evident fullness of the love my heart bears to You.
Amen.
—Inspired by John Henry Cardinal Newman’s own prayer, prayed by Mother Teresa daily after holy communion.
