Let His light shine

Let HIS Light Shine Thru this season….

We are living in unprecedented times, country lock downs, no travel, no visiting restaurants, cafes for a coffee with friends… along with everyone else I too am trying to navigate this journey BUT I so appreciate that I know a loving heavenly father who wants the best for me, that I can talk too every morning when I get up and every evening when I go to sleep 12

My role is running Alpha courses for those wanting to know more about Christianity but now (like everyone else) I am trying to navigate the technology world by organising to run our remaining sessions via internet/online.

I know there are now many out there who are in ‘limbo’ of ‘now what’ and ‘what does this all mean’ – a friend shared with me over the phone this morning of a neighbouring work space colleague who came to say ‘good bye, not sure if I’ll see you again’ (as they work for a café & today it closed) so my friend said please take a bible to read while you’re in quarantine and they grabbed it saying ‘yes please, where do I start?’

Now more than ever we need to step up and ask for God’s wisdom to know how best to encourage and be the light of Jesus in this ‘topsy-turvy’ world as people are hungry for answers to know more!

Ps 107:10-16 (TPT)

Some of us once sat in darkness, living in the dark shadows of death. We were prisoners to our pain, chained to our regrets. 11 For we rebelled against God’s word and rejected the wise counsel of God Most High. 12 So he humbled us through our circumstances, watching us as we stumbled, with no one there to pick us back up. Our own pain became our punishment. 13 Then we cried out, “Lord, help us! Rescue us!” And he did! 14 His light broke through the darkness and he led us out in freedom from death’s dark shadow and snapped every one of our chains. 15 So lift your hands and give thanks to God for his marvellous kindness and for his miracles of mercy for those he loves! 16 For he smashed through heavy prison doors and shattered the steel bars that held us back, just to set us free!
