In wanting to honour my Mum for her birthday this month (which she did not get to celebrate, due to passing away in July 2020), I am posting up the poem she wrote about me (also written in my book above).
Back in the month of May 2020 (when here in Australia we celebrate Mother’s Day), I had found the poem and took to my mothers bed side (in nursing home) to re-read to her and as she listened, with a tear in her eye, I know it brought back to her the event she described – squeezing my hand, with a smile on her face, I will never forget the love in her eyes.
