Recently I was privileged to enjoy a morning with friends where we were able to have the luxury of spending time, chatting over a cuppa and then relax in singing worship to the Lord and then pray for one another.

Powerful time and I highly recommend everyone carving out these opportunities to book into their schedules and do this on a regular basis.

One of the things prayed over me was that they saw butterflies and encouraged me to take flight in what the Lord was showing me…

As Christians we can read the attached description which is built on a worldly view of the ‘Chaos Theory’ but from the word of God and personal testimony we know that is not the case.

1. Every step you take

With every step you take, think about what he wants, and he will help you go the right way. – Prov 3:6 ERV

A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life],But the Lord directs his steps and establishes them. – Prov 16:9 AMP

The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord,And He delights in his way [and blesses his path]. – Ps 37:23 AMP

I could share with you, numerous occasions throughout my life I have seen God move miraculously but in my obedience of listening to His voice and following in His direction.  In the following passage shared of me in Sri Lanka, not only did God allow the local information to be shared with me, but He also then asked me to change my prepared sermon prior to walking on stage  to include this new info and due to that we saw many turn their hearts to the Lord and get prayer – Powerful stuff!

When traveling to the city of Kandy in Sri Lanka in August of 2008, along with

others, I was given the touristy guide information as we drove past a castle that

got pointed out to us on a mountain top. We were told that in the past, a type of

“Robin Hood” crusader lived there by the name of “Saradiel” who would rob

from the rich and give to the poor to assist in the hardship he saw around him. It

does not matter which country or nation you are from; we have all had them at

one time or another, Ned Kelly in Australia, Zorro in America but none the less

these men in a way were bold enough to step past their rejection and still stand

for what they believed.

“So much is learnt in life by responding the right way to offence. Spiritual

authority is gained by choosing the right response. The right response is to

decide to sacrifice your own reputation and to trust God over the affairs of

your future. We just need to commit ourselves again to the faithfulness of

God and continue to do good. Psalm 4:5 Offer right sacrifices and trust in

the Lord” - Ps Jenny Gilpin from Hope City Church in England

You know she is so right when she said, “the right response is to decide to sacrifice

your reputation” – when we face rejection of any sort, how much are we prepared

to sacrifice our own lives and reputation and give all to God? The Father is

watching our every heart choice and longs for what Psalm says, “offer right

sacrifices.” What do you need to sacrifice today?

I know that through my own life, that if I had not always gone to the Lord first,

down on my knees, and laid out how I felt in a situation, I would not be in the

place I am today. God has orchestrated so much around me over the years and so

many times gone ahead of me. Still, when drastic issues have risen in my face –

and some have been very hard to swallow, even from a “reputation” point of view

– I know that through many tears, it has been the Lord giving me the strength to

walk thru to make the right choices and not me.  The Lord has been the one that

has sustained me and given me the ability to stand up again and hold my head

high and believe that He has my best interests in mind and a bright future for me.

But you know, that scripture in Luke 4 - like a resounding bell the Holy Spirit

said to me - what can man do compared to what Christ came to do for us in a

much bigger way. God the Father was so pleased with His Son, so I know God is

pleased with us when we choose not to take on all that other people want to

dump on us.

God longs for us to be making good choices and rejoices, I believe, when we do.

He loves you, adores you, and I know that He will have others come about you

when you’re feeling rejected to encourage you and tell you that the Father is

proud of you and looks down on you lovingly. – so Believe with me for great

things in your life if you are experiencing rejection because God will turn it

around if you allow Him.

Ephesians 1:3

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

Malachi 3:10

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the

floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room

enough for it.

Are you prepared to stand and be a Robin Hood for Christ and give your

reputation to Him to see your loved ones and situations turned around for good?

I am praying that you are.

2. The power in you

But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8 AMP

However, you are not [living] in the flesh [controlled by the sinful nature] but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God lives in you [directing and guiding you]. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him [and is not a child of God]. – Rom 8:9 AMP

Haven’t you yet learned that your body is the home of the Holy Spirit God gave you, and that he lives within you? Your own body does not belong to you. – 1 Cor 6:19 TLB

I have certainly baulked at stepping out to do certain things in the natural throughout my life but it has only been the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit living in me that has given me the strength to do them.  Knowing that we can be brave enough to ‘step out of the boat’ as the saying goes.

·       Early in my married life my husband’s work were paying for us to fly overseas for a work event and I was full of fear to fly with the airline they were using – until I had prayer spoken over my life and God cancelled the fear within and was my protection

·       When carrying my second child, I was experiencing some very impacting family issues and when I was only a few months off delivering my baby I again experienced fear and had to have prayer spoken over my life for God to once again cancel the fear within and I delivered her safely

·       I am not great with full on physical activities and when opportunities arise to do them I generally chicken out and say no – only last year (as a grandmother) I decided to ‘step out of the boat’ and say yes to major zip lining across a gully (five times in fact) when in Mauritius and only when doing it realized how mad I was but God was with me!

3.Adding to the storyline

The Power of our testimony cannot be underrated - even corporations know how powerful it is!

While watching an advertising link on my phone about IKEA

a line in their add struck me – ‘Real Life Stories are way more powerful than just slogans’

So, it’s the POWER OF TESTIMONY - every man, woman and child writing their stories is way more powerful than just words on a page, it’s their personal account of God moving in their lives!

We should never stop encouraging and lifting up the hands of those around us who need to get their story out.  Just like the ‘Bronte sisters’ (authors of Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights and more) meeting their publisher in 1849 for the first time - https://www.kimcreations.com.au/post/mahogany-doorways

My storyline journey is still ongoing, and my heart’s desire is to encourage as many as possible along the way to put pen to paper to do the same, at every opportunity.

At the beginning I mentioned that ‘The Butterfly Effect’ is born from the ‘Chaos Theory’ but we know from the word of God that even in the midst of chaos, acknowledging God’s presence and sovereignty can bring inner peace and stillness.

“Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God.  I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth.” – Ps 46:10 AMP

He got up and [sternly] rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still (muzzled)!” And the wind died down [as if it had grown weary] and there was [at once] a great calm [a perfect peacefulness].  Mark 4:39 AMP

Praying today that you will allow Jesus Christ to be your focus, the Holy Spirit to be your guide and through it all acknowledge your Heavenly Father with all the respect and honour He deserves.

AMEN
