Wake up and Walk out

I am finding in this ‘Isolation’ season, that I am watching a lot of movies…

Last night I even went to the children’s channel to watch the cartoon of ‘Abominable’ - Yep, while drinking a cup of tea! (put it down to missing my grandkids)

During the movie I was taken with the fact that heroine of movie, while faced with her current dilemma of doing the right thing for the ‘abominable snow monster’ was also still holding onto past unresolved hurts (her father had died) 1

Got me thinking of all of us in our current lock down, that we would all probably be doing/going thru the same or similar!!

How then can we be here in the present and still deal with all that is going on in our life??

This morning while watching an online church service - https://kingdomcity.com/ (Ps Mark preaching on ‘The Saviour in a storm’) it was very impacting to have the following two points made;

‘Wake up’ the Word & ‘Walk out’ the Word

In the movie I mentioned above, regardless of her past hurts she chose to ‘Walk out’ what was needed and thru the experience it ‘Woke up’ in her what she required to move on…

Today I too am choosing to ask my Heavenly Father to ‘Wake Up’ in me, more of His Word for this season so that I am able to ‘Walk Out’ in confidence, all my Heavenly Father is asking of me – to see individuals, family & friends transformed! (see Hymn below)

FILL MY CUP LORD

Like the woman at the well I was seeking for things that could not satisfy But then I heard the Savior calling Draw from this well that shall never run dry

Fill my cup, Lord; I lift it up, Lord Come and quench this thirsting of my soul Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole

There are millions in this world who are craving The pleasures earthly things afford But none can match the wondrous treasure That I find in Jesus Christ, my Lord

Fill my cup, Lord; I lift it up, Lord Come and quench this thirsting of my soul

Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole

Fill my cup, Lord; I lift it up, Lord Come and quench this thirsting of my soul Bread of Heaven, feed me till I want no more Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole

Fill my cup, fill it up and make me whole

The following theme song from the movie is ‘Beautiful Life’ and I love the words, even from the first verse because in this season Jesus Christ is just waiting to find us hiding in the shadows of our isolation, where no one else can see us BUT Jesus Christ can!

[Verse 1] I was lost, but you found me Hiding in the shadows from my destiny And you saw hings hat no one lse could see You saved me when  was my worst enemy [Chorus] It feels so good to be alive Just you and me tonight Don't wake me up from this high What a beautiful life I heard your heart call mine And then all the stars aligned Don't wake me up from this high What a beautiful life [Verse 2] Spread through me like a wild flame I feel it in my veins I'll never ever be the same I'll never be the same Cheers to the thing money can't buy Can't buy what I feel inside This thing, I can't deny Our pretty little paradise [Chorus] It feels so good to be alive Just you and me tonight Don't wake me up from this high What a beautiful life I heard your heart call mine And then all the stars aligned Don't wake me up from this high What a beautiful life [Post-Chorus] Woah-oo-oh Woah-oo-oh Woah-oo-oh What a beautiful life [Bridge] What a beautiful, what a beautiful, what a beautiful life What a beautiful, what a beautiful, what a beautiful life What a beautiful, what a beautiful, what a beautiful life What a beautiful, what a beautiful, what a beautiful life [Chorus] It feels so good to be alive Just you and me tonight Don't wake me up from this high What a beautiful life I heard your heart call mine And then all the stars aligned Don't wake me up from this high What a beautiful life

Imagine if we ALL ‘Woke up’ the Word of God in our lives while sitting at home now - so that at the end of this confined season we ALL ‘Walked out’ the Word God is asking of us to do in faith – Wow! The world will most certainly be a different place to be in – promises filled, lives touched and the power of testimony!!

1 Peter 3:15 Amplified Bible (AMP)15 But in your hearts set Christ apart [as holy—acknowledging Him, giving Him first place in your lives] as Lord. Always be ready to give a [logical] defense to anyone who asks you to account for the hope and confident assurance [elicited by faith] that is within you, yet [do it] with gentleness and respect.

I personally can’t wait – how about you??
